How Hrithik Roshan Became Famous?

Film industry sees a lot of actors and actresses trying their luck to be a star someday, but, only some come out victorious in the rat race. Proving his talent in portraying different characters was Hrithik Roshan, who is the son of Rakesh Roshan (producer and director).

He appeared as a child artist in the '80s in movies like Bhagwan Dada, Aasha and Apke Deewane. Besides getting a good first movie, he also got positive comments from critics, becoming one of those fortunate stars in film industry. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (released in 200), his first Hindi film, brought him the chance to perform 2 different roles. Not only was the film a big hit commercially, but it also bagged several honors to its name.

Hrithik Roshan became a star soon and he also got the awards for best actor and best debut actor of the year. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai got a place in Limca Book of Records as the movie, which bagged the most number of honors in a period of one year. The movie has one hundred and two awards to its credit.

In 2000, he was roped in for films like Mission Kashmir and Fiza by the film directors Khalid Mohammed and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. His acting was rated as good by film critics and this consistency was to be followed in the coming year too. His film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was also a major hit and it also was the second biggest film to attract a lot of audience to theatres in the year.

He acted with some of the best talents in Bollywood like Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan. 2002 did not prove to be a good year for him as many of his movies failed commercially and his rating as a star went down. However he regained his fame with Koi Mil Gaya, working alongside Preity Zinta, in which he performed the role of a mentally disabled person. His acting talent was established by Lakshya (made by Farhan Akhtar), in which he showcased the transformation of the character from a laid back person to a determined individual, skillfully.

After that he took a sabbatical from movies for some time and resurfaced with Krrish, in which he did double role, one being the super hero. This film is sequel to Koi Mil Gaya. The stylish avatar of a super hero was accepted by the Indian family audience. With the success of Dhoom, it was again good times for Hrithik in the industry.

Jodha Akbar and Luck By Chance let audience watch his memorable performances on silver screen. He was praised for his character in the acclaimed movie Guzaarish, for performing the role of Ethan Mascarenhas. Audiences are awaiting his upcoming movies Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Krrish 2. Hrithik Roshan resides in Mumbai along with his two children and wife Suzanne.
