Glasses by Tom Ford
By Abigail Webb
You know you can't go far past the Tom Ford brand when it comes to creating an innovative pair of sunglasses with the latest and greatest innovations in technology. The Tom Ford style of thinking combines comfort and class with a fashion-forward approach and is one of the most definable characteristics of the brand. One of the most recent designs in the Tom Ford range "Rickie" is designed to encapsulate everything about the modern woman.
Designed to give a connected and flowing feeling through the frame design, the delicate metal arms are wrapped around each other and crossed in the centre, just above the nose. The colours on the frame provide a good contrast as the inlay of the metal frame is a different colour to the outline and gives a good two-toned appearance to the design.
With the need for metal bars across the nose negated, this style of crossover gives the wearer a greater deal of comfort and flexibility. The slim line curved design also features two comfortable nose pads to give the wearer a greater level of comfort.
As the "Rickie" range is a typical pair of oversized sunglasses it also affords the wearer a greater level of sun protection. Many people forget to apply sun protection to the delicate area around their eyes when they are applying sunscreen and this is one of the most common areas for serious burns to occur. With the larger size of the sunglasses, the lenses can give extra protection to the wearer and ensure that these areas are also blocked from harmful rays.
UVA, UVB and blue light rays provide 100% UV protection to the wearer and prevent any rays that try to pass through the lenses from damaging the wearer's eye. They also adapt easily to the changing light through the gradient style of the lenses, so they can be worn in almost any situation and lighting conditions.
