BEHRINGER DDM4000 DJ Mixer Review
By Javier Sanz
Behringer DDM4000 is the new Digital 32 Bit Dj Mixer model. A really cool thing where they improved is in the new optical faders where after thousand of times of use it still maintains the same sound quality. That is Awesome!
It' s a Stereo super 4 phono chanel Dj Mixer that has 2 inputs for Mic where you can setup things like crazy. In the middle it has a new brand screen where you control your channel setup, your outputs for example or you can set one of them just to send sub frequencies, it' s really amazing.
Talking usability in setups you can now install the mixer in a club allowing you to setup preferences on everything for up to eight different uses, so if you have eight residents at the club, they can all have everything setup as they would like to. Really highly proficient kill switches for a start on the crossfader that its really good. This mixer takes the next step in allowing you to set up the way you want to e-cue (equalize).
Behringer DDM4000 gives you the option to multi e-cue setting up range frequencies where it will cut the music. For example, by pressing the bass switch, the bass frequency by it' s own will be allowed.
You also have the option to setup all of this on the middle screen. That is cool.
You have another sample on the left hand side with a 32 second recording option of quality audio. It' s very easy to use, where after recording, just put it on another channel and play it in. They also allow you in the headphone zone to choose between the snare or the bass. Just by pushing a button you will hear the bass bit for example.
A great thing they did with this brand is that it really sounds amazing! and has midi (in, out and throw) so you can plugin all your other midi device machines and use this mixer to control software. You can also use it to map all of the buttons, knobs and faders to live. It actually comes with Traktor 3, so it comes pre mapped with all of the Traktor settings so it works perfect with it!
There is a knob-button in the middle from where you can control all the setups. By the way it has a bunch of different effects.
