Visiting The Amazon Jungle In Brazil

By Valeria Mariano

The Amazon is quite frankly the globe's largest bio-system. The area of Amazonia, the accurate name of this locale, contains the most diverse range of plants and creatures on the globe. As much as 20% of all the globe's species are available in the massive rivers and jungles of the Amazonia. The popular way to refer to this entire area is easily: The Amazon. Most international vacationers and their acompanhantes journey to this area either from Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.

The Amazon River is the second biggest river worldwide (just beneath the Nile in Egypt) and just happens to move through the location of the Amazonia in Brazil. The river is formed at the junction of Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes. At this spot, accurately referred to as, Meeting of the Waters, the black color waters of Rio Negro join and blend with the clay-colored waters of Rio Solimoes. The result can be remarkably enjoyed directly in front of a tourist's eyes, and actually is one of the biggest highlights of the region.

The Amazon's amazing dimensions has baffled the intellects of many adventurers and explorers, issuing rise to countless myths and stories, incorporating those of giant sloths and loving dolphins. Fantastic projects to take control of and profit from this natural wonder, from Henry Ford's efforts to tame the wild rubber trees to Brazil's Finance Minister Delfini Neto's efforts to pay off the countries' foreign financial debt through income from the Amazon, have all led to failure, and have supplied this mystical and steaming green land the alternative brand of "Green Hell."

A good way to experience the rainforest with your acompanhante is as simple as living in it. As opposed to flats or apartments in rio de janeiro, Eco Accommodations are specialty hotels which provide a specialized opportunity, with a selection of possibilities hinging on how outrageous or "uncivilized" you want to be.

Like rio apartments and hotels, a number of Eco Lodges come completely designed with pools, air conditioning in addition to phones. Others are closer to the land, both literally and figuratively, and give you feelings of the enormity of the rainforest heat, humidity, mosquitoes and all.
