The Vow Movie: A Review
The most awaited movie The Vow has been released to the viewers almost coinciding with Valentine's Day due to a special purpose. This movie promises to bring such love story that is so grand, it will have its viewers get swept up in, particularly at this time of the year. This love story revolves on a man who does his best to win back the love of his life, his wife, after they have gone through an accident that made her forget him along with the last four years of her life. Channing Tatum played his role perfectly as Leo, and even though he has great chemistry with Rachel McAdam's character Paige, it almost went to waste because of the film's insufficient focus and jagged plot.
Paige's problems, first of all, is topped with the idea that she has a husband that she does not recognize. During the span of four years that she had forgotten, she went from being a nice law student to becoming a spontaneous artist. Paige will of course, upon waking up, ask certain questions about the reasons why she and her family are not on speaking terms, what had happened to her fianc (Scott Speedman), and why her hair is just so weird-looking. Her new persona is indeed comprehensible given all that has occurred to her. However, in the perspective of Paige and the audience, being able to go through such drastic change is tremendously challenging.
Each scenario with Tatum and McAdams in it makes the movie truly appealing. When Paige tries to go back to the life that she actually remembers, people can sympathize well with Leo as they see him suffer quietly, despite the fact that it was Paige who is dealing with a bigger problem. Leo depicts a life that the new Paige is lured by, yet she cannot imagine. Nevertheless, because Paige cannot fathom the idea of living a life that is not connected with her, she goes back to her old ways.
The Vow is definitely fun to watch. This is all because of the mystery of how Leo will be able to win Paige back. Therefore, indulge in this movie and experience love at its finest.
Theoretically speaking, if you were to wake up from a coma, and forget all of the things in the past 4 years of your life, which includes the very person you got married with, then it would truly be a scary and bewildering torment. You can check out this review if you consider that kind of plot interesting enough to be turned into a movie.
