Art For Ordinary People

By John Mason

Art is the most unpopular concept and or idea in the world. Folks that are not into art would say that art is merely and or just simply a profession in making pretty decorations which will delight the eyes of the ones viewing it. Some even would go to the point of announcing that art is nothing apart from a past time for folks who just doesn't have anything to do. But all these formulated impressions about art are inaccurate. There are those certain people, who learned how to become an artist, who have felt and understood the true meaning of “art”.

Art is surely used to deck out a place however its purpose isn't limited to being just a decoration. Art is more than simply a decoration it's a language that conveys a message thru the elements that are found in the art itself. It might be extraordinarily offensive to the part of the artist to inform him or her that their work is just a decoration. Artists didn't create their master piece solely for it to become decorations, they spent a lot of time perfecting their art work and they put their abilities to the test every time they display their art works in public.

Art is also not only a past time for people who don't have anything to do. It is awfully degrading to the character of art if we are saying it is simply a past time. Artists spent about the majority of their life to conquer their chosen fields and they have faced lots of heart breaking failures and demoralizing situations yet because they are striving to become good in art they manage to get passed thru it.

Thus to claim that art is merely a past time is awfully offensive and downgrading to the artist and the art itself. We will not simply reduce art into something like a decoration or a past time because for an artists art is their life and it's what gives meaning to their existence as an artist.

We should plug the art rather than making silly comments about it. We have seen how art made a contribution to our society and how it formed our civilization so it is just and required for us to support art and artists.
